Last updated: March 17th 2026
Welcome to Virtue. By downloading or using images, videos, or other media from this website, you agree to the terms below.
1. Ownership
All images, videos, and media on Virtue belong to the original creators.
Downloading media from Virtue does not transfer ownership to you. It only gives you permission to use the content under these terms.
2. Non-Commercial Use
You are free to download and use media from Virtue for non-commercial purposes, including:
- Education
- Journalism
- Personal projects
- Activism
- Social media posts
- Documentaries that are not primarily commercial
You may edit, crop, or adapt the media if needed.
3. Credit
Where possible, you should credit the photographer or videographer when using content from Virtue.
If you choose to credit, a suggested format is:
Creator Name / Virtue
Supporting creators helps the platform continue to grow.
4. Commercial Use
If you would like to use media from Virtue for commercial purposes, you should use the commercial request feature attached to the relevant asset. This allows the details of your request to be passed on to the creator for consideration.
Examples of commercial use include:
- Advertising
- Products for sale
- Commercial films or TV productions
- Brand campaigns
- Fundraising campaigns run by companies
Virtue does not currently handle commercial licensing directly. Submitting a request does not grant permission, but helps connect your enquiry with the contributor so licensing can be discussed separately.
5. What You Cannot Do
You may not:
- Sell the media files themselves
- Upload the media to another stock website or archive
- Redistribute the files for others to download
- Claim the work as your own
Media from Virtue should only be used as part of a larger project, not as the product itself.
6. Ethical Use
Virtue exists to support work that respects animals.
Media from this platform must not be used to promote animal abuse, exploitation, or industries built on harming animals.
Virtue reserves the right to revoke permission if content is used in ways that contradict these values.
7. Responsibility
All media is provided “as is.”
Virtue and the creators are not responsible for:
- How the media is used
- Any legal claims that arise from its use
- Any damages or losses related to the media
Users are responsible for ensuring their use complies with local laws and regulations.
8. Changes to These Terms
Virtue may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.
